The Oyo State Police Command has ordered the deployment of comprehensive security measures across the state ahead of the forthcoming nationwide examination organised by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board.

The Command said adequate security has been put in place at all Computer-Based Test centres to ensure a safe, orderly, and hitch-free exercise for candidates.

In a statement, the police public relations officer, Ayanlade Olayinka, disclosed that the Commissioner of Police has directed enhanced visibility policing across major roads, communities, and other strategic locations in the state.

He said officers assigned to stop-and-search duties have been instructed to act proactively, professionally, and courteously, while ensuring that candidates and other commuters reach their destinations without undue delay.

According to him, Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and supervisory officers have also been tasked with taking full responsibility within their jurisdictions to prevent any security breach before, during, and after the examination.

The Command reassured the public, particularly candidates, parents, and guardians, of its commitment to the protection of lives and property.

It also urged residents to support security agencies with timely and credible information to help maintain peace and order.

The Command wished candidates success in the examination and advised them to remain law-abiding throughout the exercise.
