The police said the collaboration would ensure justice and restore public confidence.

According to Edafe, Ohwovoriole gave the assurance during a visit to the Commissioner of Police (CP) Aina Adesola, at the command headquarters in Asaba, on Sunday, where both sides agreed to strengthen collaboration to fast-track the case.

The Attorney General, Edafe, commended the police for their prompt response in restoring calm after the incident, which triggered widespread public concern.

He assured that the state government would support diligent prosecution of those found culpable as a deterrent.
