Leo Edochie, son of veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie, has refuted reports circulating on social media alleging that his father has died.

The claims, which surfaced on X, prompted widespread reactions before Leo addressed the issue on Instagram, stating unequivocally that the actor is alive, healthy and strong.

He condemned the spread of the false information, describing the reports as baseless and misleading, and reaffirmed that his father remains in good health.

“I have been receiving calls, text messages, WhatsApp messages, over some nonsense that people posted, that my father, Pete Edochie, is dead. It’s a lie from the pit of hell.

"Our father is not just alive but hale and healthy. If you’re wishing someone dead, the person will live very long, or you’ll die before him”, he said.
