The police said the recovery of multiple SIM cards and suspected stolen items points to possible involvement in broader criminal activities, which are currently under investigation.
In addition to the arrest, the operatives dismantled several drug peddling and consumption spots in the area, effectively disrupting criminal networks operating within the vicinity.
Makeshift structures, commonly referred to as “bunks,” used for drug-related activities were also destroyed during the raid.
The command noted that the operation formed part of a crackdown on cultism, drug trafficking, and other violent crimes in the state.
It further said investigations were ongoing to track down other members of the criminal network linked to the suspect and to uncover the full scope of their operations.
Commissioner of Police, Mamman Bitrus Giwa, reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to proactive policing strategies aimed at safeguarding lives and property across the state.
