According to the command, vehicles with unregistered or covered number plates were often used to evade security checks and commit crimes. All offenders were fined in line with the Delta State Traffic Management Law and the National Road Traffic Regulations.

The police added that enforcement was being strengthened through collaboration with the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and Delta State Traffic Management Agency (DESTMA) to improve compliance and enhance public safety.

The command urged motorists to register their vehicles and carry valid driver’s licences, warning that it would sustain a zero-tolerance approach to traffic violations across the state.
