A 30-year-OLD Point of Sale (POS) operator has been hacked to death in his home in the early hours of Monday after two assailants forced their way into his house.
A 30-year-OLD Point of Sale (POS) operator has been hacked to death in his home in the early hours of Monday after two assailants forced their way into his house.
The incident, which Mandela Road around Mandela Road in Minna, the Niger State capital indicated that the victim had pleased with his attackers and offered them cash, only for them to declared that they had come only to kill him.
The victim, identified by police as Aliyu Musa, was attacked around 3 a.m, according to the state Police Command spokesperson, Wasiu Abiodun.
The assailants used an iron cutter to break through a window before repeatedly stabbing him in the chest and inflicting multiple machete wounds to his head.

Neighbours, who rushed to the scene after hearing his cries, found the attackers already gone.
Musa was rushed first to the General Hospital, Minna, where doctors confirmed he was dead on arrival. It was learnt that nothing was stolen from the house.
Abiodun said a patrol team from Tudun-Wada Division responded but the suspects had fled, adding that security operatives recovered an iron cutter and a cutlass believed to have been used in the attack. “Investigation is ongoing and we are intensifying efforts to apprehend the perpetrators,” he said.
The victim’s elder brother, Ibrahim Kolo, described the killing as tragic and said the family buried Aliyu at a Muslim cemetery in Minna about 10 a.m. on Monday. “We hope the authorities will ensure those responsible are brought to justice,” Kolo told reporters.
