President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated seasoned banker and philanthropist, Foluke Kafayat Abdulrazaq, on her 70th birthday.

The President described her as a beacon of hope and generosity whose life has positively impacted the nation.

In a statement yesterday in Abuja by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President lauded Abdulrazaq’s remarkable record of service, integrity, professionalism, diligence and compassion across both the public and private sectors.

President Tinubu noted that the celebrant’s distinguished career as a banker, boardroom expert and educationist has contributed significantly to Nigeria’s development.

“Foluke is a proud and hard-working professional whose expertise as a banker, boardroom guru, and educationist of high reputation has impacted our country positively,” the President said.

He recalled her pioneering role in public service, particularly as the first female Commissioner of Finance in Lagos State between June 1997 and September 1998, where he said she helped entrench fiscal discipline.

The President also highlighted her subsequent service as Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, noting that her efforts advanced women’s development and strengthened social policy frameworks in the state.

“You have left an enduring legacy of service to Lagos State; the nation is proud of your record,” President Tinubu added.

He prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the celebrant good health and fulfilment in the years ahead as she continues to impact lives and contribute to national development.
