Despite his heavy schedule as the President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency, John Dramani Mahama is already putting finishing touches to his new book which is expected to be released at a time to be announced.
This fact was revealed during a discussion between President Mahama and Dr Wale Okediran, the Secretary General of the Pan African Writers Association (PAWA) during the reception and new year greetings for all Diplomatic missions and International organizations accredited to the Republic of Ghana on Tuesday, 10th February 2026.
During the brief encounter at the event which took place at the Presidential Gardens at Jubilee house, Accra, Ghana, President Mahama reiterated the continued support of the government of Ghana to PAWA, the continental literary organization that had been granted full diplomatic status by the government of Ghana as far back as 1992.

The President also thanked his guests which included, Ambassadors, Consuls and Heads of International Organizations for their continous support to the people and government of Ghana.
It is on record that President Mahama's first book: My First Coup D'Etat And Other True Stories From The Lost Decades of Africa, was published in 2012 by Bloomsbury Publishers, US.
The book which is a memoir that chronicled his childhood and coming of age during the 1960s to 1980s has been translated into the Russian and Portuguese languages.
