A political support group, Ondo Youth Alliance for Tinubu (OYAT), has said the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is creating new pathways of opportunity for millions of youths.

It made this known during the inauguration of its executive members across the 18 local government areas of Ondo State, as part of efforts to strengthen grassroots support for the President’s re-election bid in 2027.

Speaking at the event, Director-General of OYAT, Mr Thalis Apalowo, says the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu is now yielding positive results, particularly in job creation, skills development and access to finance for young entrepreneurs.

He said youths were becoming participants in governance and economic transformation under the current administration.

“Across the nation, the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu is already reshaping the economic landscape and opening doors of opportunity for millions of Nigerians, particularly youths.

“One of the most remarkable achievements of this administration is its commitment to youth empowerment through education and economic opportunities,” he said.

Apalowo highlighted education as a key area of impact, noting that Nigeria Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) had enabled over 510,000 students across the country to access higher education through loans.

“This historic intervention means the dreams of thousands of young Nigerians, who once thought education was beyond their reach, are now becoming a reality,” he said.

On economic empowerment, he said initiatives such as CreditCorp had also disbursed over N30 billion in affordable loans to more than 150,000 Nigerians for the purchase of digital devices, vehicles, solar systems and home improvements.

He cited the Investment in Digital and Creative Enterprises programme as a major boost for young innovators, especially in the digital and creative sectors.

Apalowo lauded the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, describing him as a symbol of youthful, innovative leadership.

He said Tunji-Ojo had, within weeks of assuming office, cleared over 200,000 passport application backlogs and introduced a fully automated passport application system to improve efficiency and transparency.

He also credited the minister with deploying electronic gates at international airports, strengthening border surveillance systems and facilitating the release of over 4,000 low-risk inmates as part of correctional reforms.

“These achievements reflect a new philosophy of governance that prioritises efficiency, innovation and service delivery,” Apalowo said.

He emphasised the synergy between President Tinubu’s vision and Tunji-Ojo’s execution, noting that such collaboration was key to delivering tangible benefits to Nigerians.

Apalowo, therefore, called on youths to take advantage of emerging opportunities by acquiring relevant skills, embracing innovation and contributing to national development.

Reaffirming the group’s mission, he said the target was to mobilise young voters, educate them on government policies and promote unity and democratic participation.

He added that the group would also be targeting the mobilisation of one million votes in support of President Tinubu in the next election.

Ibrahim Azeez, director of community for the group, said the body was ready to back President Tinubu for his support to the people of Ondo State.

He commended the President for appointing Tunji Ojo, whom he noted had been able to make remarkable reforms in the Interior ministry.
