“As the State Chairman of our great party in Imo, I am always encouraged when I see men of experience and commitment step forward to deepen our democratic process. Today, alongside members of our State Executive Committee, I had the pleasure of receiving Chief Longers Anyanwu at our State Secretariat in Owerri.

“I welcomed him not just as an aspirant, but as a loyal party man whose history of service and dedication to our party and our leader, His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, CON, is well known. His decision to formally declare his intention to contest for the Okigwe Senatorial seat on our platform is a testament to his belief in the APC and in the progress we are building together.

“In my remarks, I made it clear that under my leadership, and with the full backing of the State Working Committee, we will continue to guarantee a level playing field for all aspirants.

“Our primaries will be conducted in a manner that is fair, transparent, and credible. This is the only way to sustain the confidence of our members and strengthen our party.

“I also used the opportunity to warmly welcome Chief Ike C. Ibe into the APC family. A former lawmaker and governorship hopeful, he brings with him a wealth of experience and political value. His entry further reinforces the growing strength and appeal of our party across the state.

“It is important to emphasize that while we encourage healthy ambition, we equally expect all aspirants to remain committed to party unity, respect established structures, and align fully with our constitution and leadership. The APC in Imo remains one united family, focused on progress, development, and victory in the coming elections.

“I am confident that with the calibre of individuals stepping forward and the unity we continue to build, the future of our party in Imo State is even brighter.”
