Katsina State Governor, Umaru Dikko Radda, has urged outgoing members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) to consider the state as a home away from home and explore opportunities within its civil service and business environment.

Radda encouraged the corps members to apply for permanent employment in the state and to see Katsina as a viable destination for investment and long-term residence.

“Katsina State is a home of hospitality and heritage,” the governor said while addressing the 2025 Batch A, Stream I corps members during their passing-out ceremony.

No fewer than 833 corps members received their Certificates of National Service (CNS) at the event.

The NYSC State Coordinator, Alhaji Ibrahim Saidu, advised the corps members to utilise skills acquired through the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme to become self-reliant, rather than relying solely on scarce white-collar jobs.

Four corps members—Musa Suleiman, Adebayo Shola Philip, Fatimah Shuaibu Azaharaj, and Latifat Yusuf Bola—were awarded Certificates of Honour for executing personal community development service projects.

Three others—Faith Jijingi, Patience John, and Shalom Abiatha—received letters of commendation for exemplary conduct and selfless service during the service year.

Meanwhile, four corps members were sanctioned with service extensions and abscondment penalties for offences committed, in line with NYSC bye-laws.
