Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, has described Ramadan as a sacred season for spiritual renewal, divine mercy, and communal solidarity.

Radda made the remarks on Monday in Katsina while congratulating Muslims in the state and across the country on the commencement of the holy month.

He urged the faithful to use the period to draw closer to Almighty Allah through prayers, fasting, recitation of the Qur’an, and acts of charity.

“Ramadan is a divine gift to every Muslim. It is a time to reflect, repent, and reconnect with our Creator. I urge every Muslim to maximise this opportunity and seek Allah’s mercy and forgiveness,” he said.

The governor also called on Muslims to offer special prayers for peace, security, and development in Katsina State and Nigeria, noting that the state and the nation face challenges that require divine intervention. He appealed to the faithful to seek God’s guidance for leaders at all levels.

Radda further encouraged Muslims to demonstrate the essence of Ramadan by showing compassion to the less privileged, feeding the hungry, and supporting the needy within their communities.

He wished all Muslims a blessed and spiritually fulfilling Ramadan.
