The Rector, Redeemer’s College of Technology and Management (RECTEM), Mowe, Ogun state, Dr. Oladunni Izobo-Martins has reassured parents that the College management remains committed to providing a safe, regulated, and conducive learning environment that promotes academic excellence, skills development, and good character. She said the College management has resolved to strengthen academic delivery, sustain NBTE compliance, and reposition this Polytechnic for excellence, relevance, and impact.

Speaking at the 8th matriculation ceremony of the College on Friday, Dr. Izobo-Martins urged the fresh students to abide by the academic regulations and disciplinary procedures of the Polytechnic, stressing that the institution upholds discipline, integrity, respect for authority, and academic honesty. “Examination malpractice, cultism, harassment, drug abuse, vandalism, and other forms of misconduct are strictly prohibited and attract appropriate sanctions.

“Your success here will depend largely on your attitude to learning, discipline, and commitment to skills acquisition. I urge you to manage your time wisely, reduce unnecessary distractions, attend lectures regularly, participate actively in practical sessions, and make effective use of workshops, laboratories, ICT facilities, and the library, in full compliance with institutional and NBTE requirements.

Pastor Emmanuel Otuokere, representative of the National Overseer/SATGO (Admin), urged the students to create their path to success as the journey has just started.

“Today you are wearing uniform. In life, there is no uniform. You create your path by the daily habits and attitudes,” he said.

Students of National Diploma and Higher National Diploma from School of Engineering Technology, School of Environmental Design Technology, School of Science Technology and School of Management Studies of the College were administered the matriculation oath by the Acting Registrar Dr. Sunday Onjewu.

The day also witnessed the official opening of the College Solar Hub, where students receive hands-on training in solar sales, installation, and maintenance, in response to emerging industry needs.
