The House of Representatives is set to organize a national workshop to align the federal budgeting process with Nigeria's National Planning and Economic Development blueprint.
Hon. Gboyega Nasir Isiaka, Chairman of the House Committee on National Planning and Economic Development, disclosed this during an interview with journalists in Abeokuta on Sunday.

Isiaka emphasized the need for the nation’s budget process to "perfectly align" with national planning goals to foster sustainable development.
He noted that the upcoming workshop is designed to address existing imperfections in the budgeting system.

The lawmaker, who represents the Yewa North/Imeko-Afon Federal Constituency of Ogun State, remarked that Nigeria's economy has "turned the corner."
He attributed the upward - looking economy and rising investor confidence to the bold reforms of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and stressed the need to sustain this positive trajectory to fast-track economic growth.
