Media personality Roby Ekpo has apologised to viewers who were uncomfortable with his emotional display during a recent interview about his failed marriage to ex-wife Mayowa Lambe.

Ekpo appeared on the Honest Bunch podcast, where he spoke about his marriage and its collapse.

In a statement shared on social media, Ekpo thanked the public for support through messages, calls, and emails.

He said he feels lighter and freer after opening up. He apologised to those offended by his tears, saying pain leaves the body in many forms and that he only knows how to love deeply.

Ekpo said his focus will now be on his work, career, and personal growth.

He added that he intends to be softer with himself and grow from the lessons.

“Hello people, thank you for all the support and kind words. The DMs, the emails and calls. I love you all. My heart feels lighter and freer. For those whose tears I may have offended, I am sorry. Pain leaves the body in many forms. Na love I love. I only know how to love deeply. Na the Roby way be that.

"From this point, it’s my work, my career and my undying passion to be good to myself and be softer with myself. Man must see life, but again, man must grow with lessons. I am on a journey! Every other matter is being handled by my lawyers. Thank you, and God bless us all", he wrote.
