Actress Rosy Meurer has responded to criticism surrounding her varying accounts of her relationship with Tonto Dikeh, the former wife of her husband, Olakunle Churchill.

Meurer had initially denied knowing or having any personal relationship with Dikeh, a position that appeared to contradict earlier remarks in which she described Dikeh and Churchill as “family friends.”

The controversy is linked to Meurer’s marriage to Churchill, who divorced Dikeh in 2017, following allegations of infidelity in which Meurer, alleged to have been close to Dikeh, was mentioned.

Addressing the inconsistencies, Meurer said her earlier denial was made under pressure from her management team. She explained that she was compelled to state at the time due to her youth and inexperience.

In a statement on Instagram, Meurer wrote, “I was dragged into violence by force. With all the pressure then, the PR team will make you say many things even if you don’t feel it is right. Right now, whatever I say is the real truth. I am now older and wiser. No PR team can force me to say what they believe is better than my truth. If you like, bring videos from 1000 years ago. It does not change my reality.”
