Samfrank Abarikwu, the founder of the Enyioha Foundation, has launched a new STEM Scholarship Programme specifically designed to empower indigenous youths of Ibeku land in Abia State through education in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. This initiative, announced during a public event at the Abia State University auditorium, reflects his foundation’s broader commitment to youth development and capacity building in the region.
The programme aims to support academically promising students who demonstrate both potential and financial need by providing them with financial assistance, mentorship from industry experts and educators, and access to state-of-the-art learning resources such as high-speed internet, laboratory equipment, and e-learning platforms. The ultimate goal is to help these students excel in their chosen STEM fields and contribute to their community’s growth.

During the launch, Abarikwu emphasized the importance of investing in young people, particularly in critical sectors like technology and engineering that drive innovation and economic growth.
“We believe that the future of our community depends on nurturing the talents of our youth. By investing in STEM education, we are opening pathways for individual success and laying a foundation for sustainable development and innovation in Ibeku land and throughout Abia State,” he stated.
He also highlighted the inspiring efforts of Governor Alex Otti in advancing education initiatives across Abia State, noting that these policies continue to motivate grassroots projects such as this scholarship programme.
The scholarship is exclusively open to indigenous Ibeku youths who are currently enrolled in recognized tertiary institutions across Nigeria and are pursuing STEM-related disciplines such as engineering, computer science, pharmacy, or environmental sciences. The foundation has called upon eligible students to apply through their official website, urging passionate young individuals eager to make a positive impact in their communities to seize this opportunity.
