The  Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu; the Chairman of the Lagos State Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN); and Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC), Bishop Stephen Adegbite; and the National Coordinator of the National APC Christian Leaders Forum of Nigeria (NACLFON), Prof. Peter Abraham, are billed to attend the NACLFON South-West Summit in Lagos.

The strategic gathering, themed ‘Divine Mandate for Political Reformation of Renewed Hope Agenda,’ is scheduled for Tuesday, February 24, at the main field of the Nigeria Police College, Lagos. Delegates from Osun, Oyo, Ogun, Ondo and Ekiti states are expected to participate.

According to NACLFON South-West Coordinator, Pastor (Prof.) Adebayo Adeniji, the summit is aimed at bridging the gap between spiritual stewardship and transformative governance.

“This is the time for Christians in Nigeria, starting from the South-West, to be openly involved in party politics, governance and the administration of our nation, rather than sitting in the gallery complaining and praying with lamentation without taking practical steps,” he said.

Adeniji emphasised that the initiative transcends ethnic, tribal or denominational considerations.

“This is not about tribe, ethnicity, denomination or doctrine, but a wake-up call to Christians, as Jesus Christ commanded and the Bible teaches — ‘the government of the world is on His shoulder’ and ‘occupy till I come,’” he added.

He described the summit as a potential turning point for greater Christian participation in governance and politics in Nigeria.

The event is expected to attract prominent Christian leaders, policymakers and stakeholders from various denominations across the South-West, reinforcing NACLFON’s mission to mobilise Christians within the All-Progressives Congress (APC) for active, values-driven engagement in nation-building.
