Sanwo-Olu noted that Alebiosu, popularly known as “Bush of Africa,” played a significant role in shaping Lagos politics, particularly during the Fourth Republic.
He commended the elder statesman’s decades of contributions to governance, recalling his service as a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, where he represented the Somolu/Kosofe State Constituency.

“He is one of our leading lights. I see Baba Bush as a stabilizer — a man with tremendous experience and a wealth of knowledge. He is calm, respectable, and humble, with rare leadership qualities,” Sanwo-Olu said.
The governor prayed for the celebrant's continued good health, a sound mind, and longevity, expressing hope that he would continue to provide guidance and leadership.
“I genuinely wish our leader, Otunba Busura Alebiosu, a wonderful 90th birthday. I pray that as you grow older, you will continue to live with your head held high and remain a source of inspiration to many,” he said.
