Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has called for peaceful elections, youth participation and sustained interfaith harmony, as he joined Muslim faithful on Tuesday for a Special Ramadan Prayer at Lagos House Mosque Ground.
Addressing worshippers at the beginning of the holy month, the governor said Ramadan offered a period of reflection not only for individuals, but also for those in public office, emphasising accountability, compassion and service.

“For us in public service, Ramadan deepens our consciousness of accountability—not only to the people we serve, but also ultimately to Almighty Allah,” he said.
“True leadership is measured not by power, but by compassion; not by authority, but by service.”
The prayer gathering, held at the seat of government in Ikeja, drew religious leaders, scholars, members of the State Executive Council and leaders of the Muslim community.
