Actress Sarah Martins has clarified her recent interaction with a dispatch rider who publicly expressed interest in her.

In a post shared on Instagram, Martins stated that she did not accept the rider’s romantic proposal, explaining that her response was an act of kindness intended to affirm his self-worth.

She stressed that she maintains clear personal standards in relationships and would not lower them for anyone.

Describing herself as a principled woman who values respect, loyalty, and submission in a partner, the actress said her gesture should not be misconstrued as consent to a relationship.

Martins wished the rider well but stated unequivocally that she is not the right person for him.

She wrote, “Let it be known that I don’t say yes to a dispatch rider. I only extended my hand in love for humanity towards him to remind him that he’s worthy of love regardless of his current status. I am not the type that dates low, and I can’t fix any man to fit into my standards, “hell to the no”.

"I am a principled woman, and I believe in respect, submission, and loyalty, and a man can only earn those qualities when he’s a provider. Please stop spreading wrong narratives. I am single and currently not searching.

"To Whom It May Concern, please don’t spread wrong narratives. I didn’t say yes to any dispatch rider. May God bless him enough to stand on his feet as a man before talking about love, because love comes with responsibilities! I genuinely wish him well, but I’m definitely not for him.

"Ndi Facebook shouting, Sarah is finally getting married, bikonu. I’m not desperate for marriage; as a matter of fact, I’m not interested in marriage. Y’all should let me breathe.”

The clarification followed the rider's claim that he lost his job after expressing feelings for Martins.

She shared chats showing he was cautioned, not sacked, and said she aimed to address his disrespectful behaviour, not harm him.
