Governor Uba Sani has called on residents of Kaduna State to open their homes and share their Ramadan meals with the poor, urging citizens to let compassion define the holy month.

In a deeply reflective Ramadan message to the Muslim Ummah in Kaduna State, across Nigeria and around the world, the Governor described the sacred month as “more than a season of abstinence,” portraying it as “a school of character and a sanctuary for the heart.”

He said Ramadan summons the faithful to introspection, renewed devotion, and a deeper consciousness of shared humanity. In the quiet hours of prayer and reflection, he noted, Muslims are reminded of timeless virtues — compassion, charity, unity and mutual care.

“Let us open our homes and our hearts,” the Governor urged, calling on citizens to share their meals, resources and presence with those in need, affirming the dignity of every person.

Governor Uba Sani prayed that Almighty Allah, in His infinite mercy, would grant the faithful strength, serenity and abundant blessings as they undertake the noble discipline of fasting — a pillar of Islam that refines the soul and elevates the spirit.

Beyond the spiritual exhortation, the Governor appealed to all residents of Kaduna State to continue praying for peace and harmony, stressing that despite differences in faith and culture, the people remain bound by a common destiny.

He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to consolidating peace, revitalising the economy and advancing sustainable prosperity for all.

“May the light of this blessed month illuminate our hearts and guide our collective path,” he concluded.
