Nollywood actor and producer Olaide Olabanji has issued a public safety warning to residents of Kwara State, urging them to avoid large religious gatherings over security concerns.

Olabanji made the appeal in a video shared via his Instagram page, where he spoke directly to indigenes of the state, stressing the need for vigilance amid rising fears of attacks on crowded worship centres.

“This video is for every indigene of Kwara State. He that has ears, let them hear because most of you are deaf,” he said. “Kindly stay away from religious gatherings during this Easter period. Stay in your house, especially those at Omu Aran, Offa, Igbeti and other places.”

“You can serve God anywhere. Terrorists mainly target religious gatherings like churches. I beg you in the name of God. You can serve God in the corner of your room. God is everywhere,” he added.
