Nigerian Risk Awards and Summit has promised that its eighth edition, on June 4 in Lagos, will be a beacon of collaboration, learning, and excellence in risk management.

Damilola Sonayon, director of the awards, said the event: “Anticipatory Governance, Risk, and Foresight: Preparing Nigeria for a Resilient and Inclusive Future”, serves as a biennial cornerstone, convening industry leaders, risk management professionals, policymakers, and experts to celebrate achievements, and explore innovative approaches to risk management. Against the backdrop of today’s dynamic global and economic challenges, the theme underscores the urgency and necessity of anticipatory governance, national risk exposure and foresight in policymaking and business. To this end, the awards partners Office of the Vice President, Kashim Shettima, on the hosting of the ceremony.

Also speaking in a virtual meeting, Managing Partner of Conrad Clark Nigeria, Bola Johnson, said the awaards emphasises significance of building public understanding of anticipatory governance, national risk exposure, and power of foresight in policymaking and business. This year’s summit prepares Nigeria for the future by providing insight as recommendations for advocacy, policy reforms, and public education. The event will facilitate dialogue among leaders, citizens, subject matter experts, policy stakeholders, and representatives from private sector.

Award recognising achievements in risk management, panel discussions and keynote addresses, innovation on cutting-edge solutions, networking to encourage collaboration, workshops and training are among key activities.

Entries opened on February 1 and closes April 24, providing organisations and professionals opportunity to submit their nominations.

Chief executives, risk managers and professionals, government officials, academia, technology providers, finance houses, insurance & pension companies, and industry associations comprise the diverse target audience of the summit.
