Super Eagles Goalkeeper Amas Obasogie has been handed a three-month suspension by Tanzanian side Singida Black Stars SC following allegations of match manipulation.
The club revealed this through a club statement on Friday. In the release Singida Black Stars said the suspension was approved by its Disciplinary Committee after preliminary internal findings raised concerns over possible misconduct.
The club explained that the decision was taken to allow a thorough investigation to be conducted without external or internal interference.
According to the statement, the allegations relate to suspected match-fixing, although no formal charges have been established at this stage.

The club stressed that Obasogie remains under investigation and will be given full opportunity to respond to the claims in line with its disciplinary framework.
The suspension comes days after the goalkeeper featured in a 1–1 league draw against Namungo, where he was included in the matchday squad.
Singida Black Stars also announced a separate three-month suspension for midfielder Khalid Aucho, clarifying that his case is linked to indiscipline and absenteeism rather than match-fixing concerns.
Obasogie joined the Tanzanian club in 2025 and has been a regular member of the first team.
He is also an international with the Super Eagles and was part of Nigeria’s squad that secured a bronze medal at the Africa Cup of Nations 2025.
