The Super Falcons have stepped up preparations in Yaoundé following the arrival of five more players ahead of their international friendly double-header against Cameroon.

Goalkeeper Chiamaka Cynthia Nnadozie headlined Thursday evening’s arrivals, alongside defenders Osinachi Marvis Ohale, Michelle Chinwendu Alozie and Isah Sikirat, as well as forward Veronica Chinwendu Ihezuo.

Their inclusion raised the number of players in camp to 22 at the time of this report.The quintet joined Jennifer Echegini and Comfort Erhabor, who had checked in earlier on Thursday.

A day earlier, Rinsola Babajide, Shukurat Oladipo, Folashade Ijamilusi and Kafayat Shittu were among the first to arrive as the team’s camp officially opened in the Cameroonian capital.

Team captain Rasheedat Ajibade was also an early arrival, alongside Oluwatosin Demehin, Christy Ucheibe and in-form attacker Monday Gift, as the squad gradually assembled for the high-profile friendlies.

With most invited players now present, head coach Justine Madugu has a near-complete squad to evaluate fitness levels and tactical options ahead of the clashes with the Indomitable Lionesses.

Nigeria will wrap up preparations with a final training session at the Stade Omnisport Ahmadou Ahidjo on Friday evening.

The first friendly is scheduled for Saturday, while the second encounter will take place next Tuesday, with venue details to be confirmed.
