The Nigeria women's national football team, Super Falcons are set to face Cape Verde women's national football team in an international friendly later this month as part of preparations for upcoming competitions.

The match will give both teams the chance to test new players, fine-tune tactics, and build team chemistry ahead of major tournaments, including the next edition of the Women's Africa Cup of Nations.

This fixture follows Nigeria’s recent two-legged friendly against the Cameroon women's national football team in Yaoundé during the last FIFA window between February and March 2026.

The Super Falcons’ camp is expected to open in Nigeria on April 11, with preparations intensifying ahead of the proposed friendly.

For Nigeria, the game offers another opportunity for the technical crew to assess squad depth, integrate new players, and maintain the core group that has delivered success on the continent.

Cape Verde will also use the encounter to measure their progress against one of Africa’s most successful teams, gaining valuable experience against top-level opposition.

The fixture is part of efforts to increase international exposure for the Super Falcons, who have had limited friendly matches in recent times.

Details of the venue and kickoff time are yet to be announced, but the match is expected to take place within the April international window.
