About eight persons were yesterday killed by suspected herdsmen in Mbaav, Mbadura, Turan in Kwade Local Government Area in Benue State

According to a community leader, Chief Lawrence Akerigba, the attackers stormed the farming  community through the river, using engine boats. They shot and killed many people.

Those killed are Ushahemba Tyonenge, Atsue Pever, Iji Iorlu, Iorkase Iber, andTyowase Terkimbi.

Others were Iorbee Tyoor, Kyungwa Adaa and Tyavbee Agbange

The Kwande Police Division  has confirmed the killings and said more security personnel were on the way to the area.
