Glovo, a tech platform, has said it will host the second Future of Commerce Summit 2.0, on Wednesday at Landmark Events Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The summit is expected to bring together key stakeholders in Nigeria’s technology, digital and commerce ecosystems to deliberate on future of innovation and trade.

Participants expected include government officials, policymakers, entrepreneurs, industry leaders and innovators, who will examine trends, opportunities and challenges shaping Nigeria’s commerce and logistics landscape.

Interim General Manager, Reni Onafeko, said the summit underscores the company’s commitment to empowering small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), widely regarded as the backbone of the nation’s economy, through access to digital tools, infrastructure and insight.

She noted that the 2026 edition will focus on scaling impact across Nigerian cities by leveraging technology to drive inclusive growth and expand access to digital commerce opportunities.

According to her, the platform will also serve as a forum for collaboration and knowledge-sharing among stakeholders, with a view to strengthening Nigeria’s rapidly evolving commerce ecosystem.

Onafeko added that the summit builds on the success of its maiden edition and will further highlight the role of digital platforms in driving economic growth, supporting SMBs and accelerating the country’s digital transformation.

Glovo is a technology-driven platform that connects customers, businesses and riders, offering on-demand services across multiple categories, including food delivery, groceries and retail.

The company is positioning itself as a key player in the evolving quick commerce space, with a vision to provide seamless access to goods and services within cities.
