A TikTok user identified as Love says she is facing a N50 million lawsuit from a bread company after posting a video questioning the shelf life of a loaf that appeared fresh after two months.

The video, which circulated widely online, showed the user expressing concern that the bread still looked and smelled fresh weeks after purchase.

She stated that she did not mention any brand or show a logo in the post.

In a follow-up update, the user said she received a legal letter from solicitors representing a company named Bon Bread.

She added that the company also contacted her via direct message a day after the video was posted.

According to her account, the lawsuit came as a surprise because the original video did not identify a specific manufacturer.

She noted that commenters had asked her to name the brand, while others shared their own experiences with different breads.

She said in part, “Hello guys, you won’t believe what I’m holding in my hands. Bon Bread sent their solicitors to serve me this letter.

“You remember the video I made three days ago about the bread that has stayed for two months in my shop without going bad? I was very intentional in that video; I didn’t mention any brand, and I didn’t show their logo. I was that careful.

“Some of you in the comment section were saying, ‘Oh, you are a liar, you would have told us the name of the bread, how do you want us to stay away from the bread if you don’t tell us the name? You are lying, at least show the logo’ and some people were mentioning different brands, different breads, sharing their experiences with those breads.

“The next day, Bon Bread sent me a message in my DM.”
