Senator Ede Dafinone (Delta Central)  has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his 74th birthday, praising his bold economic reforms and steadfast leadership, which he said have helped stabilise Nigeria’s economy and restore confidence in the foreign exchange regime.

In a statement on Sunday, Dafinone described the President’s new age as “not only a celebration of age but of a lifetime devoted to service, sacrifice, and the unwavering pursuit of a better Nigeria,” adding that Tinubu’s leadership “continues to inspire confidence and hope across the nation.”

The lawmaker commended the administration’s economic direction, noting that “your bold and decisive economic policies have stabilised our economy and restored credibility to Nigeria’s foreign exchange regime.”

He acknowledged that “while the path of reform is never easy,” the President’s “courage in taking necessary decisions has repositioned our nation for sustainable growth, improved investor confidence, and long-term prosperity.”

Dafinone also lauded Tinubu’s leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) particularly the successful hosting of the recent APC National Convention.

According to him: “the convention was a clear testament to your ability to unify, strengthen, and provide strategic direction for the party as it continues to play a pivotal role in Nigeria’s democratic journey.”

Highlighting the President’s broader leadership qualities, the senator stated that Tinubu’s “resilience, political foresight, and commitment to progressive governance continue to serve as a guiding light for leaders across the continent.”

He added that “at a time when strong and visionary leadership is most needed,” the President has demonstrated “the capacity and resolve to steer Nigeria toward stability and renewed greatness, through your Renewed Hope Agenda.”

The statement concluded with prayers for the President, as Dafinone, on behalf of his family and constituents, said: “I celebrate you, Your Excellency, and pray that Almighty God grants you many more years in good health, wisdom, and strength to continue serving our dear nation.”
