President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of Adesayo Olusegun Michael, an engineer, as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency (NEMSA).

The President also appointed Magaji Da’u Aliyu as the Managing Director of the Sheda Science and Technology Complex (SHESTCO), Abuja.

A statement yesterday in Abuja by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, announced the appointments.

SHESTCO is a federal research institution responsible for research and development in technology. It also operates a nuclear research facility.

President Tinubu also approved the appointment of other members of the NEMSA board, including Aliyu Abdulazeez as Executive Director (Technical).

Other members are: Ikechi Clara Nwosu (Chairman, Southeast), Zubair Abdur’rauf Idris, Igba Elizabeth (Northcentral), Sani Alhaji Shehu (Northeast), Adeyemi Adetunji (Southeast), Emmanuel Eneji Nkpe (Southsouth), and Charles Ogbonna Asogwa (Southeast).

President Tinubu also nominated Amina Gamawa, representing Bauchi State, and Abdullahi Muktar, representing Kaduna State, as commissioners of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).

The President has forwarded the names of the two nominees to the Senate for confirmation.
