From Bolaji Ogundele, Abuja

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated his Special Adviser on Health, Salma Ibrahim Anas, on her 60th birthday, praising her outstanding contributions to public health and healthcare delivery in Nigeria.

In a statement issued on Wednesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President lauded Dr. Anas for her sustained efforts in advancing maternal, newborn and child health, as well as her broader impact on strengthening the country’s health systems.

Tinubu noted that the celebrant’s decades of service across various capacities globally have helped shape policies that promote the well-being of Nigerians, describing her as a committed professional with a passion for improving lives.

He further extolled her role within the administration as a trusted adviser, whose expertise and dedication continue to support ongoing reforms aimed at enhancing the healthcare sector and its contribution to national development.

The President emphasised that Dr. Anas’ wealth of experience and commitment to service have made her a valuable asset in the government’s efforts to reposition the health sector.

“As you mark this milestone, I wish you good health, renewed strength, and many more years of impactful service to the nation,” the President said.

Dr. Anas, a distinguished public health practitioner, has played key roles in policy development and programme implementation in Nigeria and internationally, particularly in areas focused on improving health outcomes for vulnerable populations.
