President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, on his birthday, commending his contributions to national service and the ongoing fight against banditry and terrorism.

In a statement on Thursday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President highlighted Matawalle’s record as a teacher, minister, and member of the Renewed Hope team, as well as his service to Zamfara State, where he served as governor from 2019 to 2023.

Tinubu noted the minister’s efforts in supporting national security operations aimed at dismantling criminal networks, stressing that all hands must remain on deck to bring “agents of evil” to justice.

The President also observed that the minister’s birthday coincided with a joyful period in his personal life, as he recently performed the marriage ceremony for his children.

Tinubu prayed for Matawalle’s continued good health and wished him many more years, urging him to sustain his meaningful service to the nation.
