President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has commended Governor Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State for his efforts in tackling insecurity and safeguarding lives and property.

Tinubu gave the commendation while declaring open the second edition of the National Economic Council meeting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

He praised Radda’s commitment to securing Katsina and protecting citizens from criminal elements threatening the peace and stability of the nation.

The President also lauded Governors Babagana Zulum of Borno State and Uba Sani of Kaduna State for their efforts in addressing security challenges in their respective states.

Reacting, Governor Radda expressed appreciation to the President for the recognition, attributing the progress to teamwork and the support of the people of Katsina State.

“This recognition belongs to the people of Katsina State and our gallant security agencies who have stood firm in the face of adversity. We are making progress because we are working together,” he said.

“We will not relent. We will not be distracted. We will continue to support our security forces with everything they need until peace is fully restored to every corner of Katsina.”

Radda also assured that his administration would sustain the efforts until total peace is achieved.
