President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and First Lady Oluremi Tinubu have described Pastor Enoch Adeboye as “one of Nigeria’s greatest gifts,” lauding the revered cleric as a spiritual fortress who has consistently interceded for the nation and its people.

In a heartfelt tribute marking the 84th birthday of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), the President and his wife celebrated the life and legacy of the respected preacher, fondly known as Daddy G.O., praising his humility, wisdom, and enduring commitment to Nigeria’s progress.

“Pastor Enoch Adeboye is one of our nation’s greatest gifts: a spiritual fortress, interceding for Nigeria and its people to God Almighty,” the presidential tribute stated.

The First Family noted that Pastor Adeboye’s influence transcends the pulpit, extending into philanthropy, healthcare, education, and economic empowerment initiatives that have positively impacted millions of lives within and beyond Nigeria’s borders.

They described his humility as genuine and his wisdom as profound, observing that his teachings over the past five decades have shaped generations and strengthened the moral and spiritual fabric of the nation.

“We celebrate the grace of stewardship and leadership upon the life of Pastor Adeboye as he marks his 84th birthday,” the statement read, as the First Family joined his wife, Pastor Foluke Adeboye, members of the RCCG, and the wider Body of Christ in expressing gratitude to God for what they termed an exceptional life of impact.

President Tinubu and the First Lady particularly acknowledged the cleric’s unceasing prayers for Nigeria, commending what they described as his patriotic zeal, manifest determination, and unwavering commitment to national development.

They further recognised the unique leadership role he has played within the Christian community, noting that his ministry has not only expanded globally but also continued to nurture values of integrity, service, and faith among Nigerians.

“As Daddy G.O. celebrates this special day, we pray that God Almighty continue to bless him with good health and strength as he continues his good work in the Lord’s vineyard,” the President and First Lady added.

Pastor Adeboye, who has led the RCCG since 1981, remains one of Africa’s most influential Christian leaders, with the church establishing parishes in over 190 countries worldwide.
