The Renewed Hope Ambassador in Oyo State, Senator Teslim Folarin, on Thursday night held a high-level closed-door meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the President’s private residence in Ikoyi, Lagos.

Folarin, a three-term Senator who represented Oyo Central, remains one of the most influential political figures within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State and beyond.

His political trajectory, marked by resilience, loyalty, and strategic engagement, has continued to position him as a central pillar in the party’s evolving architecture.

Since he was appointed the Renewed Hope Ambassador in Oyo State, a role closely aligned with the policy direction and political philosophy of President Tinubu’s administration, Folarin has demonstrated exceptional leadership capacity in stabilising the party’s internal dynamics.

He has been widely credited with fostering reconciliation among previously divided factions within the Oyo APC, ushering in a new era of cohesion, trust, and strategic alignment.

Party leaders, stakeholders, and grassroots mobilisers across tendencies have consistently acknowledged his role as that of a bridge-builder.

Beyond internal party consolidation, Folarin has also emerged as a key driver of the Renewed Hope Agenda in the state, actively mobilising support structures and strengthening political networks in anticipation of future electoral contests.

Sources within the party indicate that the meeting with President Tinubu was not unconnected with ongoing consultations aimed at consolidating party strength nationwide, with special focus on States like Oyo, where political realignments are critical to the party’s long-term success.

Observers believe that the President’s engagement with Folarin underscores a recognition of his growing influence and effectiveness, especially in advancing party unity and electoral readiness at the state level.

It also signals the administration’s confidence in his capacity to sustain momentum for governance advocacy and political mobilization under the Renewed Hope banner.
