Political leaders in Alimosho Federal Constituency have pledged to mobilise support for President Bola Tinubu in next year’s elections, following ‘‘a successful party registration in the constituency.
The pledge was made by Bisi Yusuf at a news conference in Orisun, Alimosho, hosted by Chairman of Agbado-Oke-Odo LCDA, Abiodun Ishola Ejigbadero.
The event, which marked conclusion of the registration, was attended by party leaders, office holders, grassroots mobilisers and other stakeholders from the constituency.
Yusuf said the registration drive is the first major assignment by the constituency’s leadership since Tinubu assumed office.
According to him, the initiative was aimed at fostering unity among communities in Alimosho Federal Constituency and strengthening party structures at the grassroots.
He said the exercise recorded 97,528 registrants, surpassing initial projections. Yusuf attributed the turnout to the “visible performance” of Tinubu in governance, infrastructure development, economic reforms and social intervention programmes.

He said the administration’s policies had reduced political apathy and restore public confidence in the ruling party.
Yusuf lauded local government administrations in Alimosho, noting projects have turned the constituency into “construction sites,” which he said has further reinforced residents’ trust in government.
He praised the leadership and coordination among political office holders, singling out chairmen of the six councils: Akinpelu Johnson (Alimosho council), Adunni Akindele (Mosan-Okunola LCDA), Abiodun Agbaje (Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA), Abiodun Ejigbadero (Agbado-Oke-Odo LCDA), Idris Balogun (Egbe-Idimu LCDA), and Lasisi Akinsanya (Igando-Ikotun LCDA).
He acknowledged contributions of House of Representatives member, Ayuba Adele, with House of Assembly members, Lukman Orelope and Kehinde Olaide Joseph, citing their legislative support and engagement with constituents.
Yusuf further recognises the efforts of party chairmen across the six local governments and party elders, including Femi Adebanjo, Isah Yusuf, Famuyiwa, Kehinde Olowoopeju, Alhaji Orire, Lawa, Wole Aina and Chief Afolabi Riskot, for their roles in strengthening party structures within the constituency.
Reaffirming Alimosho’s political significance, Yusuf said the constituency remains united and determined to maintain its strategic relevance in future elections.
“We are fully prepared to stand firmly behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and deliver unprecedented electoral support in the next general elections,” he said.
