...commends media strategist’s role in 2023 election

From Bolaji Ogundele, Abuja

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Tuesday extolled his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Special Duties, Mr. Tunde Rahman, on his 60th birthday, praising his loyalty, professionalism, and years of dedicated service.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, the President lauded Rahman for his unwavering commitment to duty, noting Rahman's longstanding role as a trusted aide both before and after the 2023 presidential election.

President Tinubu particularly highlighted Rahman’s leadership and work ethic during his tenure as Adviser on Media, describing his contributions as instrumental, especially in the build-up to the last presidential election, where he served prominently as a political liaison and media strategist.

The President said Rahman’s dedication and effectiveness in managing media engagements and political communication underscored his value to the administration and the broader progressive movement.

He further described the celebrant as a conscientious journalist and seasoned newspaper editor who deployed his professional expertise to promote public good and social justice.

“I especially celebrate Tunde Rahman for his outstanding qualities on the celebration of his 60th birthday. He is a dedicated, humble, and extraordinarily loyal personal aide who serves with utmost dedication,” the President said.

“I appreciate his contributions to our progressive ideals and promotion of good governance in our country. Tunde is a steadfast and reliable personal aide whose advice and suggestions are sincere and free of any hidden agenda.

“On this diamond birthday celebration, my prayer for Tunde is that God should grant him good health, greater wisdom for greater service to our country and humanity,” he added.

Rahman, a veteran journalist, has served President Tinubu in various capacities over the years, including as Adviser on Media before his current role as Senior Special Assistant on Media and Special Duties in the Presidency.
