President Bola Tinubu on Monday expressed confidence that Nigeria would surmount its security challenges through collective national effort.

He made the remark during a visit to the Government House in Yola, Adamawa State, where he commissioned projects executed by Governor Ahmadu Fintiri.

The President commended the Armed Forces for their operations against insurgents, bandits, and other criminal elements, stating, “Together, we shall win.”

He said the federal government remains appreciative of the military’s ongoing efforts to safeguard the country.

Tinubu also praised Governor Fintiri for delivering key infrastructural projects and urged him to continue pursuing inclusive governance.

In his remarks, Governor Fintiri thanked the President for the visit and for commissioning the projects. He announced that a new permanent National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) orientation camp under construction in Malkohi would be named after the President. The facility was among the projects inspected during the visit.

The President arrived at the Lamido Aliyu Mustapha International Airport, Yola, at about 1:20 p.m., where he was received by Governor Fintiri alongside senior members of the state government. Large crowds gathered across the state to welcome him.

The visit drew leaders from both the governing Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Adamawa and the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC), reflecting broad political participation.

Tinubu commissioned several projects, including a mega model school in Yola—representing 21 newly constructed model schools across the state—an expanded ultra-modern High Court complex, and an automated main gate with a newly built Governor’s Office at the Government House.

He also inaugurated the newly constructed underpass at the former Bekaji Roundabout as part of the expanded eight-lane Bank Road in Jiemta, Yola.

In addition, the President performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the new NYSC permanent orientation camp in Malkohi.

Five governors joined the host governor during the tour: Agbu Kefas of Taraba State, Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau, Mai Mala Buni of Yobe, Babagana Zulum of Borno, and Muhammadu Yahaya of Gombe.

All the projects commissioned are located within the Yola North and Yola South local government areas.

In a notice, the Adamawa State Government said the projects span education, justice, governance, security, healthcare, and human capital development, underscoring the administration’s efforts to enhance public services and strengthen state institutions.
