The Honourable Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Heineken Lokpobiri, has welcomed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to Bayelsa State as he commissions key infrastructure projects across the state.

In a statement issued on behalf of the minister, Lokpobiri described the President’s visit as a clear demonstration of his administration’s commitment to national development and inclusive growth aimed at improving the lives of citizens.

He commended Tinubu’s leadership and ongoing economic reforms under the Renewed Hope agenda, noting that they have significantly enhanced the financial capacity of states.

According to the minister, the reforms have enabled sub-national governments to embark on strategic projects that drive economic growth, create opportunities and improve livelihoods.

“Bayelsa State has greatly benefited from these bold reforms, which continue to strengthen its ability to deliver critical infrastructure and development initiatives,” Lokpobiri said.

He added that the state would reciprocate the Federal Government’s support with strong backing for the President in the 2027 general elections.

The minister further emphasised that the commissioning of landmark projects during the visit underscores a collaborative effort between the Federal Government and Bayelsa State in advancing sustainable development.

The statement was signed by Nneamaka Okafor, Special Assistant on Media and Communication to the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil).
