An elder statesman and a chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Shuaib Oyedokun, has described the economic policies and programmes of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration as foundational investments for future generations.

Oyedokun, a renowned politician and a nonagenarian, hailed President Tinubu for his bold economic policies, which, according to him, would be value-enhancing for the nation in the long run.

He spoke at Inisa in Odo-Otin Local Government Area of Osun State at the unveiling of grassroots mobilisers and a campaign office for the party’s governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, undertaken by Mr Tele Oyegoke, an aspirant for Ifelodun/Boripe/Odo-Otin Federal Constituency ticket under All Progressives Congress (APC), as part of his contributions towards the success of the party in the coming elections.

At the well-attended event, which brought together key APC figures from the constituency and which was held amid pomp and ceremony, the party stalwart lauded Oyegoke for the initiatives.

The party chieftain, who is also the Oluomo of Inisa, while further praising Oyegoke, acknowledged his independent entry into the APC and his steady political growth within the party, hoping his aspiration would be fulfilled.

He described the party as a transparent and dynamic platform capable of accommodating diverse interests, while maintaining internal balance, noting zoning the House of Representatives ticket to Odo-Otin Council would be a first strategic step after which stakeholders would navigate the selection process among the aspirants.

Oyedokun used illustrative analogies to underscore the political realities, affirming that while challenges might arise, strategic patience and unity would ensure success.

The local government party Chairman, Jimoh Aasa, and an elder of the party, Comrade Poju Odusola, advised members and supporters to intensify mobilisation efforts, emphasising that victory would only be secured through deliberate and collective action.

They highlighted the importance of building a formidable grassroots structure that would strengthen the party’s quest, noting that house-to-house and door-to-door campaigns must become the operational standard across wards and units.

Oyegoke thanked party elders, leaders and supporters for their support since the inception of his political journey, reiterating that his ambition was not driven by desperation but by a commitment for a collective victory.

He said the primary objective remained the success of the party and its governorship candidate in the forthcoming election.
