The Chairman of Isolo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Adebayo Olasoju, has reaffirmed his commitment to working hand-in-hand with relevant stakeholders and political groups in the council area to ensure success for his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), in the 2027 general elections.

Olasoju declared that the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is sacrosanct and non-negotiable.

He made this known while hosting the leadership of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors for Oshodi-Isolo, led by Kayode Tinubu, during a consultative visit to the council.

Speaking during the engagement, Olasoju emphasized the need for unity, sustained political engagement, and effective grassroots mobilisation to consolidate the achievements of the current administration, noting that the forthcoming election would be pivotal to sustaining progressive governance.

He said: “The 2027 general elections will not only be a test of our strength as members of the ruling party but a referendum on the progress we have made as a nation under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. His re-election is sacrosanct, non-negotiable, and a collective responsibility for all of us.”

He added that Tinubu’s strides across key sectors of governance speak for themselves, expressing strong confidence that APC would record a convincing victory at the polls, while reaffirming his commitment to initiatives that would drive the party’s success in Isolo LCDA and Oshodi-Isolo at large.

“Isolo LCDA and Oshodi-Isolo at large have always stood firmly with progressive ideals, and come 2027, we will once again demonstrate our unwavering loyalty by delivering a resounding victory for our great party. There is no doubt in my mind that APC will emerge victorious by securing convincing votes for Asiwaju and winning all elective positions available,” Olasoju stated.

He hailed the Renewed Hope Ambassadors for their dedication to grassroots advocacy.

Earlier, Tinubu lauded Olasoju for his “fantastic support” for the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, stating that the grassroots-driven platform is targeting 178,000 votes for President Tinubu in Oshodi-Isolo.

He described the goal as ambitious but achievable, noting that the group plans to mobilize at least 200 valid votes per polling unit and assured the chairman of their commitment to work collaboratively with all stakeholders to deliver a resounding victory in 2027.

“You will recall that in 2023 we (Oshodi-Isolo LGA) recorded 27,000 votes for Asiwaju and our target now is 178,000 votes, some people say it’s audacious but with the data at our disposal which is scientific and verifiable, it’s is achievable. So, we are saying that even if we discount from 178,000 votes worst scenario we will fall to 100,000 votes and that’s still a very wide margin between 27,000 votes and 100,000 votes. We assured Mr. Chairman (Olasoju) that we will work and deliver in this local government and we will make him proud,” Tinubu added during an interview on the sideline of the visit.

Joining Olasoju in hosting the visiting Renewed Hope Ambassadors were the Deputy Leader of the legislative arm, Babatunde Amusa; the Secretary to the Local Government, Musbau Quadri; the Chief of Staff, Bilikis Agbabiaka-Odunsi and the Special Adviser on Political and Legislative Affairs, and Sheriff Adebayo, among others.
