Minister of Interior Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo yesterday declared that the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027 is non-negotiable.
He noted the administration’s giant strides across critical sectors of the nation will earn him a return to office.
He spoke at the inauguration of a support group, BTO – Unit to Unit for Tinubu’s Re-election, in Akungba Akoko, Ondo State.

Represented by the Chairman of the group in Akoko South West/East Federal Constituency, Abiodun Ogunbi, the minister called for intensified grassroots mobilisation to sustain the momentum of the current administration especially as the general election draws near.
He said the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Tinubu administration had recorded gains in the economy, education, infrastructure and Nigeria’s global standing.

According to him, members of the support group must work diligently at the unit, ward and local government levels to guarantee a resounding victory for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general election.
“So, you are to take the campaign to the grassroots and ensure support for the President. Your mandate also includes identifying challenges at the unit level and providing necessary solutions,” he said.

Tunji-Ojo urged support for the return of incumbent federal lawmaker, Gboyega Adefarati, to the National Assembly.
Ogunbi lauded the minister for his commitment to the administration, describing him as a rallying force for grassroots support in Ondo State.
He also hailed Tunji-Ojo’s performance at the Ministry of Interior, noting that it has helped to strengthen the public image of the government.
Dignitaries at the event included Gudu Felemu, a former member of Ondo State House of Assembly; Aye Cyril, a former state auditor; Akeju Bukunmi, a former Senior Special Assistant and current local government Women Leader; Shakara, Executive Vice Chairman of a local government; and Kure, a former state board member.
