Victor Osimhen is poised to return to action tonight as Galatasaray host Gençlerbirliği in the Turkish Cup quarter-final at Rams Park- a comeback that coincides with reports that Real Madrid have joined Barcelona and Atletico Madrid in the race for the Super Eagles striker's signature.
Osimhen returned to full training last week after recovering from an arm injury sustained in the Champions League round-of-16 tie against Liverpool, which forced him to miss four consecutive league matches.
According to Turkish newspaper Sabah, he is expected to play 15 to 20 minutes against Gençlerbirliği as manager Okan Buruk carefully manages his workload ahead of Sunday's Intercontinental Derby against Fenerbahçe — a fixture with direct implications for the title race.
Galatasaray currently sit four points clear at the top of the table following a 2-1 win over Gençlerbirliği away in the Süper Lig at the weekend, with Osimhen absent from that matchday squad on medical advice.

His imminent return has only sharpened interest from Europe's elite. According to Futbol Fichajes, Real Madrid are actively seeking a specialist striker in the summer and have identified the Nigerian as a priority target, entering a three-way battle with Barcelona and Atletico Madrid. Barcelona are planning a significant overhaul of their forward line, while Atletico could lose both Alexander Sørloth and Julián Álvarez at the end of the season and view Osimhen as their ideal replacement.
The financial conversation is equally significant. Galatasaray signed Osimhen from Napoli for €75 million last summer on a contract running until 2029,a Turkish football record. Previous reports have placed their asking price at around €150 million, though a recent CIES valuation puts the striker at €104.7 million — a more attainable figure for a club of Real Madrid's standing.
Osimhen has made 29 appearances across all competitions this season, contributing 19 goals and seven assists.
At international level, he has netted 35 times in 52 games for Nigeria. Despite his consistent professions of affection for Galatasaray, the lure of the Spanish capital could yet prove decisive.
For now, all eyes are on Rams Park tonight, where his return from injury will serve as a timely reminder to every interested party of precisely what is at stake.
