The government of Bola Ahmed Tinubu is highly inclusive and tolerant to the extent that two non-members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) carry on with their national assignments without suspicion and malice.

The two opposition members of the cabinet, Nyesom Wike, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) minister, and Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, delectable Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, also still maintain fanatical loyalty to their political parties.

Their participation in the Federal Government is not widely perceived as anti-party activities.

Wike, political leader of Rivers State, is a strong stalwart of the crisis-ridden Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that is still in court against itself over the protracted leadership crisis.

The former governor is at the centre of the crisis and controversy.

Although he is in the Tinubu government, Wike has stated categorically that he belongs to the PDP.

Ambassador Odumegwu-Ojukwu, one-time Miss Nigeria and daughter of former Anambra State Governor Christian Onoh, is a prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), which her illustrious husband, Nkemba Nnewi, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, promoted.

The minister, a former senatorial aspirant on the platform, has never turned her back to APGA. She took a brief permission from the president to campaign for Governor Charles Soludo’s re-election. She also urged the electorate to vote for Senator Emmanuel Nwachukwu (Anambra South) during the by-election.

Wike has said that President Tinubu is is candidate for next year’s poll. He has started mobilising for his re-election.

It is also relatively easier for the APGA chieftain to team up with the APC without defecting, afterall, there is no strong indication that APGA will field a presidential candidate for the 2027 poll.
