A Canada-based development activist, author, and community leader Patricia Ukpoka-Eyamba has been named in the 2026 edition of Nigeria Women Annual: 100 Leading Women, a prestigious biographical compendium celebrating exceptional women whose leadership is shaping Nigeria and the wider world.
Her recognition highlights a remarkable track record of impact in community development, inclusive leadership, youth empowerment, and culturally responsive practice.
Patricia is widely respected as a transformational leader whose work bridges cultural identity, leadership development, and community wellbeing.
As Founder and Executive Director of El-Ubuntu Pathways Inc., Patricia leads initiatives inspired by the African philosophy of Ubuntu — “I am because we are.”
Through youth mentorship, parent engagement, culturally responsive programming, and institutional capacity building, she advances a vision of integration rooted in belonging, representation, and shared responsibility.
She also founded Patricia Ukpoka-Eyamba Inc., a consultancy focused on helping newcomer youth in schools discover voice, identity, and purpose. Through this work, she supports young people in navigating belonging, confidence, and leadership while helping institutions engage more effectively with diverse communities.
Her professional contributions span settlement services, trauma-informed practice, nonprofit innovation, and leadership development. An accomplished writer and advocate, Patricia has consistently amplified underrepresented voices and championed empowerment through storytelling and service.
