The Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences, Iyin-Ekiti, has directed its students to commence applications for the Nigerian Education Loan Fund following the completion of its enrollment into the scheme.

The institution said the development makes its students eligible to benefit from the Federal Government’s education loan initiative.

In a statement issued by the university management and made available to newsmen by the Public Relations Officer, Mr. Femi Esan, students were advised to visit the official NELFUND portal to create personal accounts and complete their applications.

“The successful enrollment of the University into the NELFUND scheme marks an important milestone for us as a young and rapidly growing institution,” the statement read.

It added that the initiative would provide much-needed financial support to students and improve access to quality education.

“This scheme is designed to ease the financial burden on students and enhance their ability to focus on their academic pursuits. We therefore urge all students to take advantage of this opportunity and complete their applications promptly,” the management stated.

The university also commended the Federal Government for extending the initiative to its students, describing it as timely and impactful.

“We appreciate the Federal Government for this laudable initiative and for making our students beneficiaries. The University remains committed to providing an enabling academic environment while leveraging opportunities that promote students’ welfare and academic success,” the statement added.
