The Lagos State Government is set to commission the Opebi-Maryland-Mende Link Bridge aimed at improving accessibility and mobility. The State Government flagged off the project in January 2022.
With an agreed road length of 4.52km, this project is one of the many projects being undertaken by leading engineering construction company, Julius Berger Nigeria Plc.

Once completed, the new road will open into Ojota axis in Kosofe, diverting traffic from Opebi U-Turn and connecting to Ikorodu Road via an intersection that will be constructed under Odo Iya Alaro Bridge at Mende.
Upon commissioning, the project will be a major relief for commuters, alleviating traffic gridlock at Opebi, Mende, Maryland, Ojota and Mobolaji Bank-Anthony Roads.
