The Nigeria Volleyball Federation has announced the death of board member Sunday Timothy.

Timothy, a former chairman of the Nigeria Volleyball Referee Association, played a key role in developing officiating and technical standards in the sport.

He also served on the CAVB Zone 3 Referee Commission and earned international recognition for his contributions.

The federation described his death as a major loss and extended condolences to his family and the volleyball community.
